on absurdities and the disturbed

To simply seeing a movie with friends who remind you that you can be happy.

To a ridiculous movie that reminds you that you can actually laugh.

To driving with a friend in the passenger seat and the other on the other side of the phone and probably running red lights, reminding you that you are absurd.

: )

Oh, and also to 'Repo!' and the audience of The Music Box Theater, reassuring me that others share similar disturbing thoughts, if not more disturbing.

on wasting the day away

Currently listening to:
Mistaken for Strangers - The National

It's lovely when you hear from long lost friends. When you chat with a neighbor about hard, cold reality. When you laugh out loud and mean it. When you enjoy talking to someone on the phone, when you normally don't enjoy that kind of thing at all. When you prepare to get ready to do work with people that make you feel at home, happy, and real.

And as you open the door to your building the wind cuts through you and all the loveliness hits you at once.

And under the dimly lit street lamps your lips curl into a smile.
